The Classic Portal will be discontinued by 23 June 2024. It is highly recommended that you transition to the new portal at your earliest convenience to ensure seamless service.
We have implemented a range of updates and improvements to HKU Portal to optimize your user experience. For more information on these modifications, please see the details below:
We have moved the "More" button, now renamed as "Site Map" to the top of the navigation menu for easier access to all links available in the portal. By clicking on "Site Map", you can access all links organised according to the menu structure of the Classic Portal. Once the Classic Portal is closed, the “Site Map” will replace the Classic Portal, ensuring you have access to all necessary links.
The user guide is now moved to the header position of the portal for the desktop version. This update should make it easier for you to find and use the guide to navigate the Revamped Portal.
For quicker access to portal links that you use often, we recommend making use of the "My Favourites" widget. To add a link to "My Favourites," simply click on the star icon next to the link's name. This link will then appear on your dashboard, making it easily accessible without having to search for it each time.
Be aware that the Revamped Portal does not allow you to add external links to “My Favourites” widget. To maintain accessibility, please be reminded to save the external links in your browser bookmarks. You can also recommend helpful links to be included in the portal to make it more complete.
To improve user satisfaction, we are currently reviewing the search keywords in the Revamped Portal. As part of this process, keywords for each portal link will be reviewed in order to improve the accuracy of search results for users.
In late January, we invited staff to participate in the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for the Revamped Portal. Your insights and suggestions are invaluable in making the portal better and more user-friendly. We encourage you to join future UAT sessions to help make the portal better and more user-friendly.
Please take some time to explore the revamped portal and share any additional comments or suggestions you may have to GROUP-ITS-WEB-MOBILITY@hku.hk. For general enquiries or problems with the portal, please contact ithelp@hku.hk.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
