What is Promotions
Promotions are another critical component of the Smart Recycling System, designed to further engage and motivate HKU staff and students to participate in recycling activities.
Similar to events, promotions are created and managed by the Estates Office and are prominently displayed on the GreenU homepage. The key difference between an event and a promotion is that promotions do not include points earning. Instead, promotions focus on raising awareness, providing incentives, or offering special deals related to recycling WITHOUT the reward of points.
By leveraging promotions, the Estate Office can keep the community informed and engaged in ongoing sustainability efforts.
