# Create an account

After liaising with and being engaged by a department of the University, you will receive an invitation email for casual helper portal account creation at the first time of engagement.

**Step 1:** Click "here" (url with prefix <https://chportal.hku.hk>) in the invitation email where an invitation code embedded to navigate to the registration page

**Step 2:** Press "Register" button

**Step 3:** Enter username and password for registration and then press "Register" button
