Troubleshooting and Permission
Q: I have opened the app but cannot check in to an event/class. What should I do?
A: If you're unable to check in, try the following troubleshooting steps:
Turn on the Location service and grant it to HKU App.
Close and restart the app.
Try changing your location within the classroom (for example, move to a different seat).
Q: Why doesn't my class appear in the "Upcoming Events" section?
A: Some classes may not appear in the "Upcoming Events" section because they have not registered your course enrollment in the Attendance system. These classes might only become visible for your check-in during the actual event period. If you don’t see your class listed, it may not be set up to use the Attendance system to take attendance.
Q: Why can't I check in to an event/class even if I have enabled Bluetooth?
A: If Bluetooth is enabled but check-in is still unsuccessful, there might be connectivity issues or app glitches. Try the troubleshooting steps mentioned above, and if the issue persists, contact your lecturer or teaching assistants for assistance. They can help ensure your attendance is recorded accurately.
